The Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented HR Assistant to join our People Team and support the delivery of exceptional HR services across the business. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support, and help ensure our HR processes run smoothly, with policies applied consistently and professionally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong HR foundation who is eager to grow their career within a busy, supportive, and people‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance and development, retention and offboarding.
  • Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries; responding promptly and escalating issues as appropriate, in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Support Managers in maintaining and implementing People processes and procedures.
  • Support formal and informal ER processes (e.g. probation, return-to-work interviews, note taking).
  • Maintain and update employee records across the HRIS and internal systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Run reports using the HRIS and internal systems.
  • Assist with payroll processes, employee benefits and incentive schemes.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with People Operations.
  • Verify employees’ right to work and stay up to date with relevant legislation and requirements.
  • Draft and issue HR-related correspondence, such as probation outcome letters and contract change documents.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as required.

Desired Personal Attributes

  • Qualified in CIPD Level 3 and / or equivalent HR qualifications.
  • Experience working in an HR administrative role.
  • Good understanding of HR processes and basic employment legislation.
  • Confident communicator with a professional, approachable manner.
  • Highly organised and adaptable with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
