The team included 22 of our amazing employees, three friends and Rebecca Steele (CEO) and Julie Smith (Finance and Business Development Manager) from Rochdale and District Mind.
The day was tough, with 60,000 steps to take, three peaks to climb, 1,585m of ascent, an early start and 679 blisters to get, it was a challenge for all – both mentally and physically.
The team managed to hike the three peaks within the 12 hour target. We couldn’t be prouder of everyone that took part and we’d like to thank you all for the momentous effort you put in to raise awareness and money for our two chosen charities in what was a day to remember for us all.
A special thank you goes out to Laurie Wilson, father of Crown Gas & Power’s Jen Wilson, AKA our superstar support car driver. Your help prior to the hike and dedicated support on the actual day was invaluable and made the day easier for us all.
* Team Rochdale and District Mind raised a total of £2,917 and team Bury Hospice raised a total of £2,340.
Dedicated to supporting the local community throughout Greater Manchester, the Crown Oil Group sponsors Rochdale Football Club and both the Crown Oil Group and Crown Gas & Power are connected.
